The mission of the American College of Cardiology is to advocate for quality cardiovascular care through education, research promotion, development and application of standards and guidelines—and to influence health care policy.

  • Partners in Care

    Partners in Care

    The ACC welcomes applications from cardiovascular technologists including sonographers, electrophysiology specialists, invasive specialists and vascular specialists, to become PIC members of the ACC. Applicants must be certified by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International and have two or more years of experience in their field.

    The ACC Surgeon Council is a leadership forum for cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons to identify, develop, and implement initiatives related to strengthening and enhancing the surgeon perspective within the American College of Cardiology.

  • Cardiovascular Team Member Section

    The Cardiovascular Team Council provides the Cardiac Care Associates (CCA) member segment with increased opportunities for engagement and integration in the overarching mission of the American College of Cardiology.

  • Interventional Scientific Member Section

    The Interventional Scientific Council and Section was created as a result of a proposal put forth by member interventionalists to the College’s Board of Trustees at their August 2007 meeting.

    A section for all interested in sports and exercise cardiology, open to all ACC members with an interest in the cardiovascular care of the athlete and exercising individuals of all ages.

    In a time when both public and private research grants have markedly decreased for early career researchers, the American College of Cardiology Foundation's (ACCF’s) award program continues to show a significant increase each year.
