CardioSourceTo ensure member satisfaction and value, the new website allows members to access all the trusted College content and benefits: guidelines, case studies, expert opinions, clinical studies, continuing medical education, journal scans, CardioSource Video News, advocacy information, practice management resources, membership information, the latest news, products, conference registration and information, and more. You can even engage with peers through CardioSource Communities – a networking feature that allows members to organize groups around topics, exchange ideas, upload photos and plan events with users from around the world.

Along with a tailored search experience, CardioSource.org personalizes your online visit when you set up your profile on My CardioSource, which allows you to organize your newsletter preferences and save your products, CME information and favorite content. 1. Will my CardioSource.com username and password work on CardioSource.org? Do I need to re-register or change my login information?

Yes, your username and password for CardioSource.com will work on CardioSource.org. You do not need to re-register or change your login information. However, you may be asked to update your profile information when you log into the site for the first time.

2. I don't remember my username or password. How do I get them?

If you remember your CardioSource username, but not your password, you can use the “Forgot My Password” function on the website. If you do not remember your username, then please contact ACC’s Resource Center to be reminded of your username and have your password reset. You may call ACC’s Resource Center at 800-253-4636, ext. 5603 or e-mail your request to resource@acc.org. Customer service and technical support are available to assist you Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST.

3. I’m an ACC member but I’ve never been on the CardioSource.org site. How do I gain access?

ACC members do not need to register or subscribe to the CardioSource website, which is a member benefit. If you are an ACC member but don’t know your username and password for CardioSource (typically email address and member ID), please contact ACC’s Resource Center at 800-253-4636, ext. 5603 or e-mail your request to resource@acc.org.

4. Why did the ACC change the site?

ACC combined its two main websites, CardioSource.com and acc.org, to provide a more effective, comprehensive online experience for its members and key constituents. The new site combines the strengths of both sites and includes new features, such as personalization, a Learning Portfolio for tracking professional education, social networking opportunities, improved search functions, and practice management tools.

5. What happened to acc.org?

All of the information from acc.org is available on CardioSource.org. If you type acc.org into your browser, it will automatically redirect you to CardioSource.org. If you are unable to locate any content on the new CardioSource.org website that you previously accessed on acc.org, we want to know about it – and request that you contact ACC’s Resource Center at 800-253-4636, ext. 5603 or e-mail your comments to resource@acc.org

6. CardioSource.org requests that I login to access content that used to be available without logging in. Why is that?

We are now requiring you to login to CardioSource before accessing most content so that we can seamlessly enable our new social networking features, provide you with a customized online experience with My CardioSource, and enable “single sign on,” which will help to ensure you never have to login more than once as you navigate the site. Requiring users to login also helps us to better track and report on how the site is being used, allowing us o better tailor the site to meet your needs.

7. Can I still access products I've already purchased?

Yes! We’ve tried to make it easier for you to find the products that you’ve purchased.  Follow these steps:

  1. Login using your usual CardioSource username and password.
  2. Click the "My CardioSource" link that appears just under your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. On the left side of the screen, you'll see six tabs. Click the tab titled "My Products" and you will see a list of all the products you have purchased.
  4. Click the product you wish to view. A new page will load. Click the “Start Program” button that appears in the upper right of the screen, and your product will load in a new browser window.
  5. Make sure pop-ups are disabled, or the product will not load. Note: If you are using Sarari as your browser, click on the gear-like icon in the top right of the browser. Then uncheck "Block Pop-Up Windows."


8. Where do I go to get information about ACC Chapters?

CardioSource.org has information about ACC Chapters. You can find more about ACC Chapters by visitng CardioSource.org: ACC > ACC Membership > ACC Chapters.

9. Where do I go to register for the annual meeting and other courses and conferences?

You can register for upcoming scientific sessions by using the "Meetings" drop-down menu and selecting the next meeting (example: "ACC.12 & i2 Summit 2012"). You can access information on all course and conferences, including links to register for each, by opening the "Certified Education" drop-down menu and selecting "Courses & Conferences."

10. As a member of the ACC, what special benefits are provided through the new CardioSource website?

Members of the ACC enjoy access to content and special services through CardioSource, including:

  • Full access to Journal Scan: Summaries of must-read journal articles with incisive commentary.
  • Full access to ACC’s Clinical Trial Database: Concise summaries of every major clinical trial relevant to cardiovascular medicine, most of which include downloadable summary slides and supporting information. 
  • Full access to the ACC Image Library: A searchable repository of high resolution clinical images, including still images and movies, made available for download for teaching purposes.
  • Unlimited CME/CE credit through full access to case studies, expert opinions, and new online educational programming.
  • Access to the ACC Member Center, where you can search the Member Directory, access your profile information, and pay your member dues.
  • Access to member-only social networking communities.

    12. How does ACC use my personal data?

    We use personal information that you provide to allow delivery of our products or services, fulfill an order or subscription, or respond to your requests or inquiries. We also may use personal information for technical support of the site; customizing the site during your visit; research and development to evaluate and improve the site; analysis to create a profile used to determine the habits, interests or other characteristics of users for purposes of research, analysis and anonymous reporting; and communicating with you about changes or updates to the site. We will not disclose any personal information without your consent, except in response to subpoenas, court orders or legal process; to exercise our rights to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law.     13. What’s the advertising policy on the site?

    ACC sells advertising on CardioSource in order to defray the costs of running the site and make as much content freely available as possible. All advertising on the site is labeled as such, and advertisements are not associated with CardioSource content in any way. The full advertising policy for the CardioSource.org website can be found by clicking on the Advertising and Sponsorship Policy link in the footer of the website.

    14. What browsers and computer platforms are supported by the new site?

    The new site is compatible for viewing on both PCs and Macs, and can be viewed with the following browsers:

    • Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) and higher (IE7 or IE8 preferred)
    • Firefox version 3.6 and higher
    • Safari version 4 and higher  

    15. Where do I report problems I’m having with the site?

    If you are experiencing a problem with CardioSource, please use the feedback form accessed by the Feedback link in the footer of the site. If you need immediate assistance, please contact our ACC Resource Center at 800-253-4636, ext. 5603. You may also e-mail your request to resource@acc.org. Customer service and technical support are available to assist you Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST.

    16. Can I still get CME/CE credit as a benefit of membership?

    Yes, CME/CE will still be available to members, although it may evolve from the current 0.25 CME “on-the-fly” credits to activities offering an hour or more of credit.

    17. Will the new site track my CME/CE credit?

    Yes. Visit the Learning Portfolio to see the CME/CE credit you’ve earned through ACC’s educational activities. You can also upload non-ACC CME/CE credit to the Learning Portfolio to have a complete record of your activities in one convenient location.

    18. Where is Cardiosource En Espanol?

    The Spanish language content available on CardioSource.com was not migrated to our new platform. We are exploring new models of region-specific content that will allow us to broaden our international reach and increase our relevance globally. Stay tuned for updates.
