The ACC is committed to setting a new standard for health care delivery in a way that is centered on increasing the quality of care and ensuring greater patient value. The goal of
ACC Advocacy is to harness the power of the entire cardiac care team and aggressively challenge those policies that threaten practice viability and patient access, while promoting policies that put patients first and reward medical professionals for their commitment to quality care. The ACC is committed to transforming the health care system into one that is focused on patient value, continuous quality improvement, professionalism and payment innovation.
The ACC, working with other cardiovascular and medical specialty societies, also is dedicated to educating members about a variety of issues, including
regulatory and coding changes and providing resources and solutions to help practices better navigate changes when they occur. In addition, the ACC is working with
payers and other health policymakers to identify opportunities for collaboration around
issues like medical
imaging and performance measurement.
