To make the transition as smooth as possible, the ACC has assembled suggestions and documents to assist you in beginning the process of choosing and implementing an EHR.
Federal Incentive Programs

The federal government has developed an incentive program to encourage use of health information technology. This EHR Incentive Program will provide payment incentives for physicians that demonstrate "meaningful use" of electronic health record (EHR) technology and performance between 2011 and 2015. Electronic Prescribing

The ACC supports the use of an e-prescribing system as a standalone system, or, preferably, as part of an EHR, to improve quality of care and efficiency and to reduce of medication errors .
