Overview

This Meeting on Demand™ Program is designed with a goal of changing your competence in diagnosing and managing sequelae of selected congenital heart disease diagnoses, including tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great arteries (TGA), and Eisenmenger syndrome, by understanding physiology and pathophysiology of right ventricle (RV) function in these lesions.

Learner Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:

  • Explain the distinction between RV size and function from the left ventricle, and benefits and pitfalls of various imaging modalities of the RV.
  • Describe common sequelae of the surgical correction of tetralogy of Fallot and their potential management.
  • Identify common sequelae of dextro-transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA) after atrial switch operation, and levo-TGA (L-TGA) and potential management strategies.
  • Recognize prognostic signs in Eisenmenger syndrome.
