Overview

This Meeting on Demand™ Program is designed to change your appreciation of the benefit of cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) devices in patients with left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction and minimal symptoms.

Learner Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:

  • Explain the value of CRT-D devices for patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and minimal symptoms so that outcomes can be optimized.
  • Identify patient characteristics associated with clinical benefit from CRT-D implantation.
  • Council patients with minimally symptomatic LV dysfunction on the use of CRT-D devices to decrease morbidity.

Method of Participation and Claiming Credit

ACCF Meeting on Demand Programs feature captured lecture content, abstract summaries, and self-assessment questions. To be eligible for credit, you must attain a score of 70% or better on the self-assessment exams included in the activity.
