COURSE OVERVIEW/STATEMENT OF NEED
For over four decades, the New York Cardiovascular Symposium has set forth the standards of excellence in educating healthcare professionals in the management and treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD). This December, join fellow colleagues and cardiovascular specialists from countries all over the world in examining the most advanced methods and technologies available to treat CVD. The three-day conference, directed by Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, MACC, is comprised of a distinguished group of cardiovascular experts who will discuss and debate cutting-edge issues that impact your profession and your practice.

Hotel Information & Policies
- Those requesting a room must first register for the program. Click here to register.
- Each registrant may reserve up to TWO rooms at the conference rate as long as rooms are available. Please contact The Housing Connection if you need additional rooms. Please contact Orchid Event Solutions (OES) if you need additional rooms.
- A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY is required.
- Reservations will not be accepted without credit card guarantee or a check for one night’s room plus tax for each room reserved.
- We reserve the right to release a reservation for which payment (check or credit card) has been declined.

Deadlines
- All rooms will be booked on a first come first basis and are subject to availability.
- Rooms at the conference rate are available until November 13, 2012 for the Hilton and November 15, 2012 for the Sheraton– or earlier if the block sells out.
- Changes and substitutions must be made by phone, fax, mail or internet by the dates indicated above. After these dates please contact the hotel directly.
Confirmations
- OES will send you an acknowledgment of your reservation. Please review all information for accuracy.
- E-mail acknowledgment will be sent, if an e-mail address is provided (preferred), or by fax or mail.
- If you do not receive an acknowledgment or have questions, please call OES. You will not receive a confirmation from the hotel.
Hotel Cancellations All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Please note cancellation fees have changed.
- Cancellations AFTER OCTOBER 11, 2012 will be subject to a $50 service fee.
- For cancellations received AFTER NOVEMBER 13, 2012: Those who have guaranteed their reservation by credit card will be charged by the hotel for one night’s room and tax for each room reserved. Those who have paid by check will forfeit the one night’s deposit(s) paid.
No shows: If you do not arrive at the hotel on the date indicated on your confirmation you will forfeit your deposit and the hotel will cancel your room reservation.

Registration Refunds Due to a Visa Denial Visa processing may require long lead times. Please plan accordingly! We highly recommend you apply for the U.S. Visa three to four months in advance. If your Visa has been denied and you would like to be considered for registration refund, please make sure you have either an official denial document from the U.S. Consulate or a stamped copy of your application form, showing the date when you applied and the date your Visa application has been denied. Preparing for the Symposium After you complete your Visa application, it is time to prepare to travel to the Symposium. We strongly recommend that you complete your hotel reservations and register for the meeting through ACC before the deadlines in order to save money and be assured the proper accommodations. ACC does not provide financial support to meeting participants. Airfare, ground transportation, hotel, meals, travel insurance and any other local expenses are the responsibility of each meeting participant. Cancellations Substitution or transfer to another course is allowed if written notification is received on/before November 13, 2012. A refund, minus a $50 USD administrative fee, will be given for written notifications received on/before November 13, 2012; $250 USD for written notifications received after November 13, 2012.
