Managing Lipids in High-Risk Patient Populations: A Cardiosource Virtual Learning Initiative is an educational initiative designed to improve clinician competency in lipid management through the application of appropriate coronary heart disease (CHD) risk assessment and intervention strategies. It includes a variety of educational activities, each of which are focused on the incorporation of evidence-based management guidelines and the accurate evaluation of at-risk patients, including women, diabetics and patients with metabolic syndrome.

 

Educational Delivery Formats

This initiative is supported by integrated online programs, each of which is guided by principles of adult learning for physicians. Additionally, the educational opportunities presented as a part of this initiative include resources designed to enhance the clinician/patient relationship and allow patients to become active partners in their care.
