Learner Objectives

The goal of this educational activity is to improve clinicians’ competency by presenting information on both the current state of healthcare disparities and the mission and goals of the American College of Cardiology’s Coalition to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Cardiovascular Disease Outcomes (credo) initiative.

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  •  Understand the mission and goals of credo
  • Consider the demographic, clinical and provider value for adopting and applying credo principles and strategies to practice
  • Identify and interpret disparity data in ACS, heart failure and primary/secondary prevention based on guideline-derived data from the registries and published research 
  • Describe and implement provider approaches for reducing disparities in your practice

Target Audience

This activity is designed for cardiologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants and primary care physicians.
