Maintenance of Certification

(Current Requirements through December 31, 2013)

If you hold a time-limited ABIM Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology or Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant, to recertify you must enroll and participate in MOC. There are additional procedural requirements for interventional cardiology.

MOC includes:

  • Part I: Verification of Licensure and Professional Standing
  • Part II: Self-evaluation of Medical Knowledge
  • Part III: Cognitive Expertise and Secure Examination
  • Part IV: Self-evaluation of Practice Performance

My MOC: Use the My MOC section to setup your MOC term and to keep track of the requirements for Parts I-IV, including points obtained for Part II and IV.

MOC Educational Activities: This section provides an overview of resources that ACC and ABIM have to offer you in completing Part II - Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge and Part IV - Self-Evaluation of Practice Performance.
