From the 2012 Legislative Conference

The American College of Cardiology's 2012 Legislative Conference took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, D.C. The first day's line-up included sessions covering the state of cardiology, legislative issues, a view from the Hill, ongoing payment reform efforts and the election outlook. On day two, more than 350 ACC members headed to Capitol Hill to meet with congressional leaders.

A record number of CCA members traveled to Washington, D.C. for the 2012 Legislative Conference. Pulitzer Prize winner George Will offered a glimpse into the current political landscape.

George Will was the keynote speaker during Sunday's ACCPAC dinner. A record number of FIT attendees added a fresh perspective to the current cardiology landscape ACC President William Zoghbi, MD, FACC, shared hot off the press findings from the College’s 2012 Practice Census. Panelists provided an insightful update on the state of cardiology on Monday morning. More than 350 attendees from across the country took part in this year’s conference in Washington, D.C.
