PINNACLE Network Listserv

In an effort to further enhance your PINNACLE Network Community experience, we have created a new PINNACLE Network listserv for our PINNACLE Network members. This tool will enable you to share ideas, experiences and best practices with your peers. The listserv includes current Network members and necessary ACC staff. We currently have over 50 people participating in the PINNACLE Network listserv, so come join in the discussion! We've already had some lively discussions about electronic health records, radial artery catheterization, and drug interactions.

If you're interested in participating in the latest listserv discussions and you are an ACC member, please email pinnacle@acc.org with your name and email address. Please tell us if you'd prefer to receive email messages in real time or a daily digest at the end of the day. Also, please take a moment to acquaint yourself with the important PINNACLE Network listserv Disclaimer and Guidelines presented below.

PINNACLE Network Listserv: Instructions, Guidelines and Disclaimer

Legal Considerations Before You Join the PINNACLE Network Listserv:

The rich and meaningful discussions that take place on this listserv are a valuable asset to the PINNACLE Network and the ACC, however, we live in a litigious society and we must maintain rules and guidelines for our discussions.

By joining and using this listserv, you agree that you:

  • Understand the Disclaimer below.
  • Have read and will adhere to the rules and guidelines established for these peer discussion groups.
  • Will abide by all applicable policies and procedures of ACC.
  • Reserve listserv discussions for topics best suited to the medium.
  • Will exercise care to maintain the College's policies and apolitical position.
  • Will avoid posting anything which may, unintentionally or otherwise, jeopardize the College's non-profit tax status.

Instructions for Using the PINNACLE Network Listserv:

  • Once you notify us that you'd like to join, we will add your name to our listserv and you will begin receiving messages.
  • You can start a new listserv subject by emailing pinnacle@lists.acc.org.
  • Any time you hit 'reply', no matter what changes you've made in your 'To' line, your email will go out to all listserv members.
  • When emails are intended for just one person, please hit 'Forward' and then fill in the 'To' line with the correct person's email address. The listserv only recognizes email addresses posted to it which are collected from the ACC database. If you use a different email address to send your email from, it will not recognize it nor allow you access to posting. You can have more than one email address posted to the listserv. Network staff can assist you with this.
  • Make sure to include a topic in the 'Subject' line. The listserv will identify any email without a topic in the subject line as spam and will reject it automatically.
  • Make sure to include a signature tag on all messages.

You have the option of either (1) receiving every email as they are posted, or (2) having all daily emails "digested" into one email sent at the end of that day. We default to Option #1. If you wish to use Option #2, please contact the PINNACLE Network staff.

PINNACLE Network Listserv Guidelines:

  • Do participate! We want to hear your ideas!
  • Do remember that the ACC is a non-partisan organization with diverse views. While you don't have to agree with another member, you do have to respect his/her right to his/her opinion.
  • Do be respectful and considerate of your colleagues in your postings. If you disagree or become upset with someone's response or use of the listserv, reply to that person directly when appropriate.
  • Do remember that information on listservs is available for all to see, and comments are subject to applicable law, including defamation, libel, slander and antitrust laws. There is a substantial difference between disagreeing with how a job/service is done and accusing persons, vendors etc. of fraud or incompetence. Negative statements that impugn someone's professional qualifications can cause economic and emotional harm. Keep criticism on an objective basis that is factually verifiable and skip commentary about character, competence or motive to minimize legal risk.
  • Do remember that ACC and other email list participants have the right to reproduce postings to this listserv.
  • Don't post commercial messages on the listserv.
  • Don't discuss prices or fees, and in particular, do not defame, disparage, or criticize any person or company.
  • Don't make any attempt to agree on prices, fees, allocation of markets, or discuss boycotting of any person or company, such as insurance companies or government reimbursement programs.
  • Don't use the listserv for personal political purposes, campaigning, endorsement of a political candidate, or to endorse ideological rhetoric. The College does not officially endorse candidates, parties or political ideology.
  • Don't post anything in a listserv that you would not want on the cover of the New York Times or that you would not want anyone to know came from you. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.
  • Don't include individuals outside of the PINNACLE Network, ACC Leadership or ACC Staff to any emails you send on the listserv.
