Education

Educate the Future: Visiting Professor Program

The goal of the program is to encourage women in medical school to enter the field of cardiology. Section members volunteer to be guest speakers at Internal Medicine Residency Programs. They will visit schools to speak, to give a lecture at grand rounds or another suitable venue, and attend either a lunch or dinner with interested women.

The value of this program lies in the section members who identify opportunities to engage female internal medicine residents and medical school students. Staff is available to assist in coordinating the visit. To arrange a visiting professor program please download a form here or contact Kelli Bohannon at kbohanno@acc.org.
